Il Salone dell'Agricoltura
The Hall of Agriculture, formerly called the Green Hall because of the color of the original furnishings, is the prestigious reception space where high-level meetings and gatherings are held.
The Hall of Agriculture overlooks Via XX Settembre in conjunction with the balcony on the main floor on which the Tricolor and the EU flag fly.
It is a particularly prestigious representative space where bilateral meetings with foreign ministers and high-level internal meetings are held.
It was frescoed in 1918 by Giuseppe Cellini, a famous Roman artist known for his decorations of Palazzo Sciarra, the Biblioteca Casanatense and many other prestigious Roman palaces.
His name has long been linked to the poet and writer Gabriele D'Annunzio since Cellini was his faithful and elegant illustrator.
The decoration of this room is a late work at the conclusion of the artist's long career.
